Sometimes the crack or leak in the basement can be repaired from the inside using epoxy or a fill-and-fibre patch to the wall so even if the crack enlarges, the system will still block the water out.
If this does not fix the problem you may have to resort to repairing the leak from the outside foundation walls. In the photos below you can see a particular project where we dug a trench around the perimeter of the house. We assessed and repaired the damage and then applied coating, to the outside wall of the house, with a sealing material and adhering a dimpled barrier to enable water to escape to the weeping tile without getting trapped against the wall.
As the trench was there for a few days, we took all precautions to ensure safety to the neighborhood people and pets. When the repair was done and we were satisfied the the job was 100% complete, we then back-filled the trench and levelled the ground. This left the customer with a blank canvas to reseed or replant as desired.
